If your homeschool experience was anything like mine, then Focus on the Family and Adventures in Odyssey were a regular part of your weekly routine.

And again, if you’re anything like me, you’ve started asking questions about the religious organizations that influenced much of our upbringing.

Enter, STRONGWILLED, “a multimedia project that focuses on the personal and political impacts of Religious Authoritarian Parenting.” While the project is not 100% dedicated to deconstructing Focus on the Family, the content that really drew me in was their series titled, “James Dobson’s Worst Nightmare”, where they break down his ties to eugenics, racism, child abuse, and a ton of other terrible things.

Additionally, D.L. will be joining me on the Ex-Homeschoolers Club to explain their theory on Mr. Whitaker from Adventures in Odyssey…so be on the lookout for that.
